"Be like little children."

Jesus once said, "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:3) The children of the BPC family have as much to teach the grown-ups as the grown-ups have to teach them, maybe more.

A childlike Spirit is central to our identity as God's people. Each week at Broadway, our children are welcomed in worship through the Children's Sermon, bringing the themes of the day to their most basic level, with lessons and reminders that we all need.  After the Children's Sermon, the kids are welcome to go upstairs for learning and play. The older kids join in Sunday School during the academic year, and the younger kids can enjoy time in the Nursery all year round.

For infants and toddlers, we have a play space in the Sanctuary where parents can stay close to their little ones while participating in worship. Wiggles, giggles, and cries are always welcome, too.

Our kids also bring us great joy each December with the annual Christmas Pageant, which takes place on the Third Sunday in Advent.

We are happy to provide a once-monthly Parents' Night Out, bringing playful fun and fellowship - and pizza - for the kids, and a little extra free time for their parents. (To get on the email list for Parents' Night Out, send an email to our Church Administrator, Stephanie Cooke.)

Whenever we can, we think it's important for our kids to learn the values of service and sharing. Children of all ages are welcome to participate with their parents in our volunteer programs -- working on the rooftop garden, serving meals at Community Table, even serving as Ushers in worship.
